Mornings

Morning's, my darling, what's your caffeine?
You give us a beginning, afresh as ever,
If not for you I would be at the end of my tether;
Dispelling darkness, kissing sunshine,
Awakening birds and humanity alike.

You give us a chance to begin anew,
A clean slate and a new stage to perform on,
That's when she says, 'Carpe Diem, my boy!'
At the break of dawn, man slumbers to eternity,
Catching at the last straws of his vivid dreams.

Time gallivants over mountains,
And finally an eerie silence is heard;
Man gets up expecting a dreary day like ever,
When one fine day it dawns on him,
His day is as good as he wants it to be!
Give in to its charm,
Give in to its sweetness,
Let it be the adrenaline you need,
To perform tasks of greatness!

But why is there a morning everyday?
Why should I do the same thing day-to-day?
Can it not be exciting, Can it not be different?
Do I need to prove myself every single day?
Mornings remind you of the vastness of life,
Of what lies ahead and all the promises you need to keep!

So get up chum and lets make it a day,
For you and the pages of history to remember!
